Gently Born

Auryn Horizon's parents welcomed him at 8:06 am weighing 7 lbs 3 oz, after his mother labored in warm water. Grandmother was there in love & their doula helped open the way.

Upright Birth

Titus Anthony weighed in at 9 1/4 lbs at 3:23 this morning -- a sweet baby brother to his six, very kind brothers and sisters. Their mother and father stood strong and determined as he was born.

I am still floating from the peace and joy with which Titus was lovingly received by every member of his dear family and how gracefully his mother gave birth. His Mom & Dad are fortified by a faith that blesses everyone around them.

Sigh.

April is Cesarean Awareness month. (So is May, June, July...)

Choosing a Healthier, Happier Pregnancy

A good walk around the neighborhood can do wonders -- not only for how you feel but also with how the body processes glucose and absorbs nutrients. Flexibility, strength and endurance can increase as well.

Have you tried alternative exercises in pregnancy? Some women have added Tai Chi or Yoga classes to their week. Classes that are geared to physical needs of pregnant women are best.

Short on time? A few minutes per day of deep breathing, meditation and prayer can reduce stress, balance blood pressure -- even help with time to rest!

Faith

Blessings to you!

Birthing women tend to have much faith yet each in her own way.

Even folks who say they do not have faith usually do to some extent.  They "believe" in something, in someone, etc.  Some days it takes a lot of faith just to get out the door.

My trust is in God.  One God, loving, stable, all-knowing, available.

I view the trials of life as tests that strengthen us (if we let them) for the next phase.  I believe that as we learn to become teachable in spirit, we receive God's gifts -- sharing the Messiah's love, to be able to really learn to trust that love and to share its fulfilling grace.  Prophetic-minded people may come and go and their ideas may even influence us.  Yet there is only one Messiah -- Jesus Christ.

Trying to find love or develop trust in that which is of this earthly world does not work, at least not to the level as it does spiritually.  For me, being open to God's spirit reveals a realm of light that can not only be felt but also "seen" in that it changes people - in a good way.

May we grow to become open to God's grace, mercy and abundant blessings...
